Parañaque City Government under the leadership of Mayor Jun Bernabe recently launched its first quarter job fair for the year 2009 dubbed as “Hataw Hanep Job 2” at the parking lot of City Hall on February 6 where an estimated 4,000 applicants took part in the said event. I would like to suggest for a safety net against the illegal employers and fake advertisements. I believe that the PLRMO should monitor the output of every job fair which not shows not only the number of job seekers who seek the City’s help but also the job seekers actual days in work once hired. A system of check and balance against employers who might abuse our Paranaquense workers especially the new graduates. The City of Paranaque must formulate a measure on this matter to protect our laborers. Such measure indeed will be a safety net.
