The Parañaque Livelihood Resource Management Office (PLRMO) will hold a mega job fair on October 19, 2007 at the Parañaque City Hall Parking Lot.

“A job fair is the best way to bring job seekers and job providers together in the same venue. It will spare applicants from the costly process of applying to various companies and at the same time protect them from fly by night agencies.” Said City Mayor Jun Bernabe.

PLRMO Head Doriz Marquez said that they are eyeing professionals, skilled and unskilled workers and TESDA beneficiaries, including high school graduates and even applicants who are 35 years and above to try their luck.

Also given priority are workers who undergone training at PLRMO.

“ We have numerous graduates in our cosmetology class. We already send invites to various health spas and major beauty parlors to participate.” Marquez said.

The job fair, which is done in celebration of the Cooperative Month, will begin seven in the morning and continues in the afternoon.

For a greater chance to be hired on the spot, Marquez encourage the applicants to come in corporate attire and bring updated resumes.

In a report to Mayor Bernabe, Marquez said roughly more than 10,000 plus applicants including self-employed skill trained have landed jobs thru PLRMO job fair since 2004.
