The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Parañaque Office will be holding a special registration for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PWDs) on May 26, 20112 from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Assessor’s Lounge of the Parañaque City Hall. Said venue was chosen because it is wheelchair-accessible, spacious and fully-air-conditioned. Providing support to said activity is the Parañaque DSWD headed by Mr. Dean Calleja. To register, local seniors and PWDs must present an original valid ID issued in Parañaque and a photocopy thereof. “The Parañaque City Government fully supports the COMELEC special registration for the elderly and persons with disabilities. We encourage our seniors and PWDs to take advantage of this program as it is designed for their convenience and benefit, mainly for their exercise of the right to suffrage.”, Parañaque Mayor Jun Bernabe said. As part of its service to the community and contribution to the national effort to establish a sufficient supply of blood essential in saving lives, the City of Paranaque Multi-purpose Cooperative (CPMEC), headed by Engr. Arman Arsenio conducted a bloodletting activity on Friday, March 11, 2012 at the Paranaque City Hall. This is the 13th blood donation activity CPMEC organized. Assisting said cooperative is the Paranaque City Health Office, Office of Councilor Benjo Bernabe and the Las Pinas General Hospital. "It is an honor to work with the City of Paranaque Employees' Cooperative in its bloodletting activity as it redounds to the benefit  and welfare of the public." Paranaque Mayor Jun Bernabe said.

The Parañaque Branch of the Social Security System, in cooperation with the City Government of Parañaque will hold an SSS forum in the city. Slated for May 14, 2012 at 9:00AM at the Assessor’s Lounge of the Parañaque City Hall, the forum aims to enlighten the public as well as business establishments on the importance of SSS coverage. The forum is coordinated by the Parañaque DSWD headed by Mr. Dean Calleja and the Office of Councilor Benjo Bernabe. Apart from the discussion, SSS Parañaque employees will accommodate applications for registration and verification of accounts. “The Social Security System has a comprehensive welfare benefit program that answers the needs of members and their families. We believe that it is important for a every person of eligible age to become an SSS member. Come and join us on the SSS Forum in Parañaque on May 14!”, Mayor Jun Bernabe said.
