Unique decors anyone? You do not have to go far searching for sources of Filipiniana figurines (Sunduan, Komedya, Sayaw ng Pagbati and Binibining Parañaque dolls); Advent, scented and decorative candles; Christmas angels and Yuletide decorations. The city government’s Livelihood Resource Management Office (PLRMO) continues to organize, train and assist community groups in putting-up area-based income generating projects. Through the years, under City Mayor Jun Bernabe’s “Tatak Parañaque-Gawang Parañaque Entrepreneurship Program”, these beneficiaries have gained expertise in the production of handcrafted ornaments as well as the trust and goodwill of novelty stores and décor exporters.

SAYAW NG PAGBATI Is one of Parañaque City’s well-preserved religious cultural traditions that culminate the observance of Holy Week. Young girls in dainty colorful costumes with matching flaglets dance merrily to the accompaniment of the town’s brass band to welcome the Risen Lord during Easter Sunday. The dance’s colorful melody and choreography reflect the jubilation that Parañaqueños attribute to the celebration of Easter Sunday. “Tatak Parañaque – Gawang Parañaque Entrepreneurship Program” HON.
